Putting Love at the Center of Work

Welcome

In the end, we are all connected.

The fear and isolation, burnout and disengagement, suboptimal results, and high attrition we see in workplaces are all symptoms of forgetting this truth.

The Center for a Loving Workplace advocates that love is not just a value—it's a human technology for leaders, teams, and organizations: a practice, a habit, a strategic choice, and an instrument for workplace transformation, that optimizes human potential, organizational health, resilience, and adaptive capacity.

Love isn’t soft—it’s the strongest force we have within us to bring people together, heal wounds, and create extraordinary results.

By choosing love-not-fear, we don’t just transform organizations; we transform ourselves and the world around us.

written by CEO and co-founder Renee Smith.

For decades, fear-based systems epitomized by rigid hierarchies, dominating leadership, threatening cultural practices, and punitive metrics, have shaped American workplaces, attempting to exert control and uphold standards but eventually harming human well-being and organizational performance. But there’s a proven alternative: a Loving Workplace. Grounded in neuroscience, leadership research, and over 90 interviews, this approach strengthens trust, psychological safety, and connection—key drivers of engagement and retention. At the Center for a Loving Workplace, we help leaders shift from fear to love to create cultures where people and results thrive. How we create change

We create love.

We are developing new insights, methods, resources, and tools to share freely with leaders and teams around the world.

The Principles Project and Loving Team Development are examples of this. Help us expand and develop more.

We transform with love.

We offer NGOs full- and partially-funded leadership, team, and culture development. People in non-profits pour their hearts out for their clients and their cause, but struggle under fear, stress, and overload. The problem is the availability of these services for those who need them most. We aim to change that.

We spread love.

We are working to get the word out through public outreach campaigns that include social media, talks and public appearances, podcasting, and public relations.

We are actively seeking sponsors to support spreading the message of love boldly and broadly to a world that desperately needs it.
