Together We Rise: A Recap of Our Co-Elevation Event

We had a powerful 90-minute community gather recently, all about breaking down the idea that we have to face everything alone.

Our community talked about moving from a “me” mindset to an “us” mindset. In simpler terms, it’s about supporting and lifting each other up instead of trying to tackle everything by ourselves.

Using a mix of poetry and conversation, the event felt like an open and welcoming chat.

We explored how everyday things around us can inspire and support us.

Every member was encouraged to think about their own lives and share their thoughts, which helped us all feel more connected to each other. We eagerly talked about finding comfort and connection in nature, especially trees. It was a reminder that we are all connected and that going against this natural connection can take a toll on us, both physically and emotionally.

We talked a lot about the need for community support, especially now.

The role of leaders in bringing people together came up as a crucial point. We agreed that it’s time to move past competition and focus on building strong, supportive teams. The old idea of fighting over limited resources doesn’t help anyone – it only pulls us apart.

As we wrapped up, there was a strong agreement on the need to be open about what we need and to be ready to help others. It’s about moving past our individual limits and sharing both the good and bad times as a community. We left the event feeling inspired and looking forward to continuing these important conversations. We’re convinced that by supporting each other, we can all rise higher.

Here are a list of needs that we captured from our story telling - perhaps you can relate?

1.       Finding Personal Voice: Need to rediscover and amplify their own voice.

2.       Community Reflection: Having others to provide feedback and reflection to gain clarity and perspective.

3.       Asking for Support: Need people who encourage expressing needs openly.

4.       Acknowledging Change: Space to recognize and process significant changes.

5.       Alignment in Work: Seeking more work that resonates with personal values and goals.

6.       Self-Grace: Need for self-compassion while contributing positively to the world.

7.       Recognition of Contributions: A system to acknowledge individual efforts towards collective goals.

8.       Authenticity: A safe and supportive space to be open and authentic without judgment.

As we lean deeper into our community needs, we want to ask you: What are your needs dear heart-centered leaders?

We're excited to explore this more in our upcoming sessions and hope you’ll join us.

Just reach us at hello@lovingworkplace.org to join the community conversations.

Together, we can make the shift from facing challenges alone to lifting each other up.
